For which grades are admissions open for AY 2026–27?

Admissions are open from Montessori to Grade 8.

How do I apply for admission to SVIS?

Parents can apply by filling out the online application form available on the school website or by collecting a form from the school office. Admission is granted based on seat availability, age criteria, and interaction/assessment outcomes.

What are the age criteria for admission?
  • Nursery: 3 years as on 31st May of the academic year
  • LKG: 4 years
  • UKG: 5 years Subsequent classes follow progressive age eligibility as per CBSE norms.
Does the school conduct an entrance test?

For Grades I and above, students may be required to take an assessment in English, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, followed by an interaction with the Head of School.

What is the admission process?
  • Visit https://admission.svisbangalore.com/ and register using your mobile number and email ID.
  • Complete verification and wait for the Admission Team to contact you.
  • Entrance test will be conducted on the school campus.
  • Based on test results, a meeting with the Academic Team will be scheduled.
  • Final admission status will be shared after the meeting.

What is the process for the entrance test?
  • Kindergarten & Grade I: Verbal interaction with grade teachers on campus.

What is the academic content for the entrance test?
  • Kindergarten & Grade I: Age-appropriate assessment on perceptual, communication, motor, and analytical skills.

How many years is the kindergarten programme?

The kindergarten programme is a three-year curriculum – Nursery, LKG (K-I), and UKG (K-II).

What is the Second Language policy?

Hindi/Kannada are offered as second languages. Kannada is mandatory as per NEP.
Grades I–II: Both Hindi and Kannada are mandatory.
Grades III–IV: Both mandatory – the chosen language at Grade level, the other at Beginner level.
Grades V–VIII: A third language is introduced; the other language is taught at Beginner level.
